  • Yesterday, I tweeted the above, and later came upon this article on Book Riot about an IndieGoGo campaign to raise money for a bookstore in the Catskills.  The author brings up some valid points, including, why as a reader, should I care about this thing, other than liking that it exists somewhere in the world? I think that in some ways, a bookstore should be a community effort, maybe crowdfunding is the right way to do it, maybe not. Speaking for my community, we have one bookstore in West Palm Beach, Barnes & Noble, and it will be closing in about a month. When they’re gone, I’ll have to travel in order to browse bookshelves (libraries notwithstanding).
